What is a professional business fraternity?

A professional business fraternity is an organization promoting professional development, community engagement, and connection between members. While encompassing many of the same aspects as a social fraternity or sorority, a professional business fraternity offers the additional benefit of enhancing members’ ability to enter and thrive in the business world.

I am not a business major. Am I able to still attend recruitment?

Yes! Phi Chi Theta requires that every member is a business major, minor, or undeclared to be eligible for membership in the organization

How often does the recruitment process occur?

Phi Chi Theta recruits at the beginning of each semester. If you did not attend recruitment but are still interested, look out for us at the Alcala Bazaar and any tabling events we hold.

What are we looking for during the recruitment of Potential New Members (PNMs)?

We do not base our decision solely on GPA (must meet the requirement) and past accomplishments. We encourage those who attend our recruitment events to come with a genuine attitude, willingness to learn about our organization, and initiative to engage in authentic conversation with as many active members as possible.

Am I able to still join social fraternities and sororities?

Phi Chi Theta is a highly manageable commitment that allows members to join many other organizations. We encourage our members to actively engage on campus and in the community.
